What does the CJA do across the criminal justice system?
The CJA works with members to improve policy and practice in different parts of the criminal justice system, from advocating for community scrutiny of policing to calling for better employment opportunities for people leaving prison; from setting out how probation can be strengthened to advocating for greater rights for victims, and more.
We also work on deep-rooted systemic issues that affect multiple areas of the criminal justice system, such as tackling the unequal outcomes faced by minority groups and improving the way the media reports on criminal justice for a more informed public.
